Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is a compact gem in northern Tanzania, famous for its tree-climbing lions, vast flamingo flocks on the alkaline lake, and diverse habitats from groundwater forest to savanna plains. Covering 330 square kilometers, it's a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The park is renowned for its unique lion population that climbs trees to escape insects and heat, as well as large herds of elephants, buffalos, and zebras. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds, creating a spectacular sight.

Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat safaris on the lake, and walking safaris in the forest. The park's small size makes it ideal for a half-day visit, often combined with Ngorongoro or Serengeti safaris.
